The old things I decided to photograph are those that can easily tell the story of it's history. The chair cushion tells the story of the artist that created it, the table tells the story of a fixer who has a history of projects. The old story books not only tell the stories inside but those of the children that used to read them, and the love they had for the stories. All things have a history, even when they are new, they can tell a story of how they were made, used, and in some cases broken.
Water
In contrast to the theme of "old things" water is always new and old. The water I photographed was the Huron River, this river is in constant flow like all water features. I wanted to have both high flow, and what looks like more still water as well, to show the different levels at which water changes.
